If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray,
Does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains
To seek the one that is straying?

And when he finds it, assuredly, I say to you,
He rejoices more over that sheep
Than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

Matthew 18.12-13

Hey y’all, this is Elroy. My main purpose of this blog is to share my experiences as I try to be a better person and get myself right with God. I accepted Christ as a young child, but by the time I got 16 I got away from church and just started “wildin’ out”. But the lessons and teaching never left me. So as I’m getting older and realizing the errors of my ways, I’m trying to live more on the path that God wants. Hopefully, if there are any of you are new Christians or backsliders who are “comin’ back home”, we can learn and grow together.

I definitely ain’t an expert on what I’m writing about, so if you see me say something wrong, misquote a bible verse, etc. please let me know! My writing style is kinda funny in that I’ll end my sentences with (?) meaning I’m not sure if what I just wrote is correct. Or I’ll end with (verse?) if I don’t know where a certain Scripture is. Again, we can learn and grow together so don’t hesitate to correct me. I can take it! The only thing I ask is that if you are correcting me, or proving a point, and that involves language from the Bible, that you provide the Scripture to back up what you are saying. If we are going to grow then the Bible should be what we are basing every aspect of our life on.

Alright, I’ll be back soon.

Gone,

Elroy

Part of me has always thought when reading this:

That is this really saying? That you have to be bad to become good? That it is cool to be bad?
